To resolve the issue, you need to manually remove a registry key using regedit:

• On 32-bit, navigate to the key:
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
• On 64-bit, navigate to the key:
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Remove the value with name Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
